What it will do

• Hosted, or local only, chosen when you sign up and changeable afterwards.
• Acquisition and disposition, serials, and where each item currently is.
• A scrub request that genuinely removes the record, including from backups taken before you asked.

Why it is built this way

It is separate from Vault for one reason. A home inventory is only worth keeping if it survives the house. This is the exact opposite, and putting both in one app would mean getting one of them wrong.

Where it has got to

Not written yet. It exists as a row in this application and as the description above, and nothing more. It is listed so the shape of the whole line is visible rather than hinted at.
